Parking Policy

Dear Parents/Guardians:
Please remember that when dropping off and picking up your children from school each day, you must park in a legal parking spot. Do not park on the school side of Penelope, double park, block any of our neighbors’ driveways, or block the crosswalks around the school. Doing so creates congestion that blocks crosswalks and jeopardizes the safety of our students and their families. While this may require you to park some distance from the school and then walk to drop off or pick up your child, it is essential that you do so for the safety of our students and their families. Additionally, ensure that your car is turned off when you are parked in the school perimeter as the exhaust from the engine can endanger the health of our students.
Please remember that we are fortunate to have ample legal parking in close proximity to our school. It is essential that we take advantage of this to ensure student safety. In order to ensure that you enjoy happy and stress free drop off and pick up experience I strongly recommend that you avoid driving down 79th street.
Be advised that I have contacted the 104 Precinct for assistance with this matter and people who are illegally parked may be ticketed.

Hacerlo crea congestión que bloquea los cruces peatonales y pone en peligro la seguridad de nuestros estudiantes y sus familias. Si bien esto puede requerir que estacionen a cierta distancia de la escuela y luego caminen para dejar o recoger a sus hijos, es esencial que lo hagan por la seguridad de nuestros estudiantes y sus familias. Además, asegúrense de apagar su auto cuando estacionen dentro del perímetro de la escuela, ya que el escape del motor puede poner en peligro la salud de nuestros estudiantes.
Recuerden que tenemos la fortuna de contar con un amplio estacionamiento legal cerca de nuestra escuela. Es fundamental que aprovechemos esto para garantizar la seguridad de nuestros estudiantes. Para garantizar que disfrute de una experiencia agradable y sin estrés al dejar y recoger a su vehículo, le recomiendo encarecidamente que evite conducir por la calle 79.
Tenga en cuenta que me he puesto en contacto con la comisaría 104 para solicitar ayuda con este asunto y que quienes estacionen ilegalmente podrían recibir una multa.
